My sister-in-law, Molly, got married to her love, Eddie Sanchez, on August 6th. The wedding was gorgeous, and my sisters and I were priviledged enough to do the dessert table and some of the other decor for the wedding. We made the majority of the desserts, but Molly enlisted some of her friends to make a few of the dishes as well.
Here's how it turned out.
To create the chalkboard sign, we used one of our frames and nailed a sheet of chalkboard painted plywood inside. With the rustic table we were using, we decided to use our white and clear dessert platters. We also incorporated some of our other rustic pieces into the table as well as several of our vases and sign holders. Molly loves reading, so we decided to mix in some of our old books. We created some globes to hang above the table and some pinwheels to hang on the sign. Kristina's business, Plum Paper, created all the labels for the desserts.
Some of the dessert items we made....
Almond Spritz Cookies
Build Your Own Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Almond Tart
Vanilla Almond Cupcakes
Vanilla Cake Pops
Kristina, our sister who owns Plum Paper, designed paper to match Molly and Eddie's invitations. We cut hearts from the paper to put on the sticks for the cake pops.
And of course chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
Some other favorite items of ours that were used included....
Our rolling tea cart and chalkboard signs
And our vintage wooden crate
The whole wedding was one of our favorite of all times. Everything came together beautifully.
Our rolling tea cart and chalkboard signs
Our vintage briefcase, decorated and used to hold cards
Our cookie jar, filled with delicious cookies made by some of Molly's friendsAnd our vintage wooden crate
The whole wedding was one of our favorite of all times. Everything came together beautifully.
Congratulations Molly and Eddie!
